Tour 2008, and yes Sophie's in here too!
- First snack on the road. I think we had been gone 20 minutes...

- Sophie and my first Father's Day. It was one of the best days of my life!

- Father's Day evening. Look at those eyes!

- This was my Father's Day gift. It's the coolest thing ever! Apparently it works to soothe babies as well...

- I guess she doesn't like this book.

- This was part of the "Sludge War" at the camp. There's nothing like water balloons, shaving cream, flour and slime to really get your day going. Plus it's great for the skin!

- More sludge. You won't see a picture of Michaela sludged because there isn't one. That's because she couldn't handle it...

- To clean up from the sludge, they made this slip n slide. Longest one I've ever been on. Good times until the end, when I hit the grass and kept going. I had red marks on my chest for days.

- Here we are hanging out in our hotel in Ft Payne, AL. That's my mom who went along as the nanny

- Despite all of the drama and bad press, dads change diapers too.

- This was on a hike somewhere in northern Alabama a few miles from the Tennessee line. I had no idea how beautiful it is up there. We had 2 days of quiet rest in the mountains. It was awesome!

- I was recreating the Biblical story.

- Lunch in Memphis, TN with Randall (bass player)

- Holding on for dear life! When she started eating my hair, Michaela made me bring her down. Apparently Aussie Gel isn't good for the baby's tummy. Who knew?

- Sophie's first Independence Day. We celebrated in Seward, NE. And if anyone tells you these baby carriers are dorky, they're wrong! These things are the coolest!

- USA! USA! USA!

- Waiting for the parade to start. It's quite the show!

- Out of eight great-grandchildren, which one is screaming her lungs out? Ours, of course...

- This is Roxy. She had the same condition as Sophie when she was born (I won't say how many years ago, Roxy). But Roxy only weighed just over a pound She spent months in the hospital as the only surviving gastroschisis baby in the country that year!

- Michaela started babysitting this guy when he was Sophie's age. It's pretty surreal for her to see him as a teenager holding her daughter.

- She smiles a lot now! And even laughs. The daily changes are amazing!

- This is Kitten Kaboodle, her favorite toy. She lights up when she sees it.

- Here it is again... I hope we're not creating some crazy codependent relationship here...

- And this is how we will teach her to fly. Gotta start somewhere, right?
