So I had every good intention to begin chronicling our journey earlier than day 6, but time has slipped away quickly (I'll also throw some blame on lack of consistent internet access). Right now I'm sitting in a Panera Bread in Knoxville TN across from some students who seem to be studying for a medical or nursing exam of some kind. If I stare much longer to figure it out, it would just make everything uncomfortable for us all. The book he has propped up on his table says "FIRST AID" in big white letters. So that's where I'm using my astute powers of reason and deduction and saying it has something to do with fixing problems in the human body.

Anyway, we've had four concerts, all of which have been different and fun - a coffeehouse, two churches, and a house concert. Good responses at all of them. I hope people are taking the message and Spirit behind the songs with them when they leave.

I read this morning in Philippians Chapter 3 about knowing Christ. The Amplified version uses the phrase "my determined purpose" when speaking of this subject. We can't just coast through our Christian walk hoping we will eventually become more like Christ. We have to make it our "determined purpose"; we must wake up every day and live every moment with the focus that we will strive to become more like Christ. Of course, we can't do that on our own. We must seek the Holy Spirit's help throughout the entire process. It can be draining and painful and difficult and exciting and freeing all at the same time. Keep on the journey! Stay on the New Road!

Today we'll be driving to Dayton OH for a concert at Christian Life Center, and tomorrow we'll be in Goshen, IN for a children's arts camp. I'm really looking forward to that one. Then it's off to Michigan where we will finish our treck north and begin to head west and eventually south again. It's only day 6, and we have 28 more days ahead. We are excited about the journey. ***Breaking news*** "Disciples" made it on the September i-Disc, which was sent to radio stations around the country last week! Maybe you'll hear it as you're driving down the road one day...

We just arrived home from an awesome 14-day tour up the east coast. We had ten concerts, and had a great time. God is good!
Now we are home for a few days and head to Nebraska, then to Arkansas, and finally to Colorado before the end of July. Whew!

It's been a busy few months for Brent and crew. In March he was gone on a two-week midwest tour through Missouri and Nebraska. Brent, Michaela, Eddie, and Debbie are gearing up for a two-week trip up the east coast with stops in Florida, the Carolinas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and more! If you're near any of those venues, come check out a show and say hi!

Brent has recently joined forces with Compassion International to promote child sponsorship. He will now begin taking a few minutes at each concert to share his own experiences with sponsorship and will allow people to sign up for this awesome opportunity at his concerts.

This Friday night from 6-9, Brent will be downtown in Lake Wales, FL playing at Friday Night Live, a local evening of music and other entertainment. Come out and support your local artists!

Brent is going to be playing in downtown Lake Wales this weekend and next at the Arts on the Avenue and Friday night Live. Come out and see him if you are in the area.

The Fall Festival scheduled for October in Ft. Lauderdale has been rescheduled for January 14-15. It is now a Winter Fest! Check out the calendar page for more information.

Brent's concerts in South Florida for the weekend of October 29th and 30th have been postponed due to Hurricane Wilma. Check back often to see the new dates and times. Our prayers and thoughts are with those who are dealing with the aftermath of this storm.
