You're Not Through With Me Yet

(Brent Walker)
I'm glad that I am continually in the Potter's hands as he molds and makes me into who I am supposed to be.
The old children's song "He's Still Workin on Me" was sung by 12-year-old Ellie Speranzini, my niece.
Be ye holy, as I am holy That’s what You told me, back when You wrote me And so I’m tryin’ to live without lyin’ And cheatin’ and cryin’, but it’s all so invitin’ Now I’m ready to make the change Do Your best work // You’re not through with me yet there’s more work to be done You’re not through with me yet in making me like Your Son You’re not through with me yet there’s so much more to do So I’ll keep my eyes on You // I’m sick of bein’ all that I’m seein’ Like one who’s still teethin’ on the idea of leavin And I’m not livin’ like a man who’s forgiven Like one who is driven by all that he’s been given Now I’m ready to make the change Do Your best work / To my faith, I’ll add goodness; and to goodness I’ll add knowledge And to knowledge I’ll add self-control and perseverance To perseverance I’ll add godliness; and to godliness kindness for my brothers And to my kindness I’ll add love, love / I’m in the hands of the Potter And He’s still workin’ on me
