I have a very difficult time praying - my mind wanders to everything I have going on. Especially when I have a new idea or something exciting happening. This was written during a week of prayer and fasting when God began leading me in a new direction and I was frantically trying to run ahead. Staying back with Him can be very difficult, but He's always patient with me.

I’ve got all these thoughts running in and out I’ve got all these things that I think about And I need You now to come and calm my mind Cause I want to sit in Your presence Lord But right now I’m just feeling overwhelmed By this idea and all that it implies / Peace, sweet peace Peace, sweet peace // Cause in Your presence there is fullness of joy beyond all measure And that’s what I need That’s what I need // I’m trying hard just to concentrate And not just sit and deliberate All my options and make all my plans Cause I have found all the other times I’ve tried to plan and control my life It only works if I’m led by Your hand
