The other day I met a man named Jesus
His eyes were lined with hope and filled with peace
The closer that I looked, the funny thing I saw
He looked a lot like me

So if you’ll give me just a cup of water
Or maybe more, depends on what you have
If you’ll take the time to show the blessings you have known
It just might make Him smile

I’m more than just a face, more than just a name
I’m a living, breathing creation of His hand
So walk with me awhile, caring for this child
And I’ll follow His plan
