My Pain is Gone

(Brent Walker)
I wrote the first verse at a funeral and forgot about it for a couple of years. One day I ran across the tithe envelope it was written on and finished the last three verses. I love Michaela's reading on this one.
My pain is gone, my battle’s over
I ran into my Savior’s arms
Weep not for me, I’ve entered glory
I’ve seen the dawn, my pain is gone

My pain is gone, life is beginning
What was before has left my mind
The life I had I’ve now forgotten
I’ve seen the dawn, my pain is gone

My pain is gone, I’ve reached that city
I now am clothed in garments white
There’s no more death here and no more crying
I’ve seen the dawn, my pain is gone

My pain is gone, I’m not returning
That life below can’t satisfy
I’ll wait the day when you will join me
I’ve seen the dawn, my pain is gone
