Brent Walker: Music

Here in the Clouds

(Brent Walker)
I was actually flying when I wrote this song. I had flown across the country to visit my fiance, who was still in college, and on the way back I bombarded myself with all kinds of questions about my life and where it was going. I decided all that didn't matter; I would just trust God and enjoy life.
If I never wondered where I would go If I spent my whole life right here in the know How dull my life would be All of my questions light up the road in front of me / If I never had to figure it out If the plan at the beginning was all laid down What good would dreaming be All of my questions light up the road in front of me // So I’ll stay here in the clouds Questioning life Wondering what it’s all about Taking it in Content to try to figure it out The ride may be long But I’m happy hanging here in the clouds // Throwing the future into the bag Makes it less of a journey and more of a drag There’s so much more for me All of my questions light up the road in front of me So I’ll take it in stride and be happy with who I’m meant to be As the Master of Design weaves me in His tapestry / There is freedom in knowing that I don’t have to know it all It’s such a feeling Content with the chips anywhere they may fall Knowing what comes I will be here in Your hands
